In this sermon, David Shepherd reflects how the evangelism strategy of the early church should affect decisions on where and how Christians should share God's message of reconciliation through Christ.

We are also encouraged to ensure that we bear the five marks of mission-minded Christians and to make the most of local opportunities to share and spread the Christian faith through practical interaction.

For the young, we must be willing to take the gospel with us as we participate in activities which interest them, such as sport. We cannot wait for the youth to turn up in Church.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Recorded on the 5th March 2017, Brother Andrew continues his series on The Father's Gifts. This time looking at the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Apologies for the low quality of the recording. The content remains of the highest standard though!

1 Corinthians 12:8-10 one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit,
to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit,
to another, faith by the same Spirit,
to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
to another, the performing of miracles,
to another, prophecy,
to another, distinguishing between spirits,
to another, different kinds of languages,
to another, interpretation of languages.

Prayers for individual's specific needs.

Our scripture today is:

Prayers for 20th January 2017

As part of our contribution to the COGOP 21 Days of Prayer here are our prayers in unity for today:

Pray for the fruitful execution of the plans of the church throughout the year.

Our scripture readings are:

Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Gen 26:22 Abandoning that one, Isaac moved on and dug another well. This time there was no dispute over it, so Isaac named the place Rehoboth (which means "open space"), for he said, "At last the LORD has created enough space for us to prosper in this land."
