Here you'll find all sorts of posts from a number of people at Hope Pentecostal Community Church on a wide range of topics.
The Bible contains many instances where significant events have taken place in an 'upper room', not just the Jerusalem Upper Room. It seemed good to recount several of these. I've included scripture, a precis and some themes in each instance.
1.WHO is on the Lord's side?
Who will serve the King?
Who will be His helpers
Other lives to bring?
Who will leave the world's side?
Who will face the foe?
Who is on the Lord's side?
Who for Him will go?
By Thy call of mercy,
By Thy grace divine,
We are on the Lord's side;
Saviour, we are Thine.
Walking the dog at 6am this morning and it was good to see, and feel some rain coming down after what's been a warm and muggy time. One of the routes we take to walk the dog goes past the entrance to the school where we meet as a church. It was lovely to see the rain and the sun mixing together to form a rainbow over where we meet!
As Christians we have the assurance that we serve a risen saviour. Jesus is no longer dead.
Hallelujah Jesus is Alive! Death has lost its victory and the grave has been denied. Jesus lives for ever.
So iis our living in vain? Of course not . It's the road to eternal gain in Christ Jesus.
Given that we will be singing again in The Meads in Farnborough this coming 18th December it's worth reminding ourselves of what we will be doing. This video clip was recorded by the centre management when we were there a few months ago.
King's Kaleidoscope are such a talented group of individuals, great musicians and have the ability to put together some great orchestration. This song is a little different from their usual material. It's written by Chad, the lead singer about the death of his infant son. Very moving.
