We heard today from our Pastor that we should 'stay focused'.

Matthew 25: 24-28

Romans 15:4

Psalm 73: 1-4

Habakkuk 3: 17-19

The things happening around us can be concerning and worrying. If we dwell on what is happening we can lose our focus.

God's word tells us that what was written aforetime was written for our learning. There are times when confusion sets in but like the psalmist David, let us enquire of God to stay focus.

Matthew 6 says, what does it profit a man if he should gain the whole world and lose his soul.

God is a faithful God and He will see us through troubled times. Regardless of the daily news, whatever your bank manager or employer may be telling you, let us keep our eyes on Jesus. Do not let the events happening in this world allow us to lose our focus, but maintain our focus by studying God's word.

God bless.

Theme for the month of December: Having a heart of gratitude

in News

Sunday 12 December:

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 say: Rejoice always; Pray without ceasing; and in everything give thanks.

Philippians 4:6-7 says: Be anxious for nothing, but in every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving make your requests known to God.

Our speaker reminded us that gratitude is a decision we must all make for ourselves. Having gratitude creates a happy disposition on you and me.  To be positive is to be happy.  We should look beyond the mess and be grateful.

Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14, says: that the whole duty of man is to glorify God. Let us stop focusing on our situation and give glory to God.  Let us recognize who God is and know that we have a lot to give God praise.

The hymn says: Count your blessings, name them one by one and you will be surprised what the Lord has done.  Everyday you wake us, make a list of your blessings.

God bless.
